Digital Marketing, SEO & GEO

Getting found by people
and by machines

A growing share of buying research now starts in an AI assistant rather than a search box. That doesn’t make search optimisation obsolete, but it does change what the work involves, and a lot of advice hasn’t caught up.

Digital Marketing, SEO & GEO

GEO is not SEO with a new name

Generative engine optimisation is the practice of making your business legible to systems that answer questions rather than return links, such as AI assistants, AI overviews and the summarisation layers now sitting on top of search.

The mechanics differ in ways that matter. Ranking first is less important than being cited. Clear, extractable statements of fact outperform keyword-dense prose, because the system wants something it can quote rather than something it can rank. Structured data and consistent information about your business carry more weight, because that is how these systems work out what you are.

The overlap with good SEO is genuine and large. The difference is real enough to be worth attending to.

What’s Included

What the work involves

Technical SEO

Indexing, crawl errors, site structure, page speed, structured data. Unglamorous, and usually where the recoverable problems are.

Content

Written to answer questions your buyers actually ask, rather than assembled around keyword volume.

Generative Engine Optimisation

Entity data, structured markup, extractable content structure, and consistency across the sources these systems read.

Paid & Social

Search, LinkedIn and Meta campaigns, with measurement configured properly before any spend starts.

Analytics & Consent

Tracking that still reports accurately when a visitor declines cookies, and Consent Mode set up for the regions you actually sell into.

Reporting

Monthly, in plain language. If a number moved we say why we think it moved, and where we are not sure, we say that too.

How It Runs

Diagnose before you spend

01

Diagnose

We look at indexing, Search Console and what you already rank for before proposing anything. Often the problem is smaller and cheaper than expected.

02

Fix The Leaks

Broken redirects, pages falling out of the index, tracking that stopped working. No point adding content to a site that is losing pages.

03

Build

Content and entity data aimed at queries without local intent, which is where a global service business can realistically win.

04

Measure

Monthly reporting against what you actually care about. Retainers scale up or down; there is no long lock-in.

A Good Fit

Buyers who research first

B2B and SaaS companies selling into markets where the buyer does their homework long before making contact. Businesses whose organic traffic has fallen without an obvious cause.

Companies who want to be among the options when someone asks an AI assistant for recommendations in their category.

Probably Not

Ranking in a city you're not in

City landing pages with the place name swapped in do not rank, and Google classifies them as doorway pages. Local map results need a verified physical presence that no on-page work substitutes for.

We would rather run a diagnostic and tell you the problem is three broken redirects than sell a retainer that was never going to fix it.

Before You Ask

Questions we get a lot

How long before SEO shows results?

Technical fixes can show within weeks, sometimes days, because they remove an obstacle that already exists. Content and authority work realistically takes three to six months before it moves anything meaningful. Anyone promising faster on a competitive term is either lucky or selling something.

SEO aims to rank a page in a list of results. GEO aims to have your business cited in an answer generated by an AI system. They share a great deal, including clear content, sound structure and accurate structured data, but GEO puts more weight on extractable statements, entity data and how your business is described on sources you do not own.

For queries with strong local intent, such as “agency near me” or city-name searches, realistically no, not without a genuine presence there. For service and industry queries without local intent, yes, and that is where the winnable ground usually is.

Yes. That includes Consent Mode configured for the regions you actually sell into, so European visitors are handled correctly and your reporting does not quietly lose traffic.

Retainers are monthly and can be scaled up or down. Diagnostic and technical projects are quoted as one-off flat-fee work with no ongoing commitment.
